Crochet garden
A crochet art exhibit titled “Butterfly Garden and Bouquet of Flowers” is on display at the Saratoga Library until Dec. 30.
The exhibit, which is available for viewing any time during the library’s open hours, includes a diorama of a butterfly garden of crocheted objects and a bouquet of crocheted flowers. Visit https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events for more information.

MetroED gets state grant for green tech programs
The Saratoga City Council at its Dec. 18 meeting voted unanimously to approve the 2025 council meeting schedule.
The council is taking a brief recess until its meeting on Jan. 15, 2025. Beginning in February, council meetings are scheduled to take place on the first and third Wednesday of each month except for the second week of July and the first week of August, when the council is set to take its summer recess.
Marionettes at Montalvo
The Fratello Marionettes will perform “Peter and the Wolf” at Montalvo on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Part of Montalvo’s performing arts series for students, the one-hour show is designed to introduce students to classical music, and will feature a 10- to 15-minute question and answer session. Visit montalvoarts.org/experience/programs-event-calendar for more information.
