SVCTE awards
Branham High School student Isaac Aguilar was awarded a $500 Metals Engineering scholarship at Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center’s 56th annual Awards Ceremony.
Aguilar was among several students from Campbell Unified high schools awarded tools, equipment and scholarships at the May 16 event.
Campbell was also represented among 92 students who received the LeRoy Morell Trust Tool Scholarship, established in honor of Morell, a 1938 graduate of San Jose Technical High School. Each recipient received tools valued at approximately $750 to support them in the next phase of their education or career.
Among the 50 electrical maintenance students recognized were Zephryn Corry and Diego Hidalgo Medrano from Del Mar High School, Justin Magana from Branham and Alex Reyes Ceren from Prospect High.
Campbell students awarded a tool scholarship in heating, ventilation and air conditioning include Logan Conroy from Westmont High School, Adrian Hernandez from Del Mar High and Sage Berti, Colton Helgoe, Zackary Parker, John Torres and Anthony Trejo Sandoval from Leigh High School.
