Carrie Underwood made an emotional comeback Sunday night.

The 35-year-old country singer made her first public appearance since a “gruesome” fall in 2017 to perform her newest single “Cry Pretty” at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Celebrities are praising the artist’s performance and return.

Reba McEntire, who hosted the awards show Sunday, told “Entertainment Tonight” that she was “proud” of Underwood.

“She’s gone through a lot, and I am proud that she’s back on the stage again,” McEntire said. “She’s a tremendous vocalist, incredible — got legs to die for — but she’s an incredible vocalist.”

McEntire also shared a photo of the two of them backstage with the caption, “Good to hug your neck.”

All these things happen to them because you’re just not focusing on what makes you happy — that’s what I wanted to focus on. We’re moms, we’re CEOs, we’re killing it — so that’s why I was saying, ‘Don’t do that to us.'”
