A fire Friday morning displaced a Castle Pines family, but didn’t cause any injuries.
South Metro Fire Rescue responded to a house fire at 7918 Berkshire Lane at about 7:56 a.m. Friday. The fire apparently started outside the home, but the fire marshal is still investigating the cause.
Three adults, three children, two cats and a dog need to find temporary housing because of the fire, South Metro Fire Rescue said. Three people were home at the time of the fire, and all evacuated safely.
The firefighters thanked a neighbor for using a garden hose to help contain the flames until they arrived in a social media post.
