ChatGPT users have struggled to access the chatbot this morning, with OpenAI’s status page warning ‘We’re currently experiencing issues’.
They said they were ‘investigating the issue’.
While we have been able to access the platform, others have not been able to have their queries answered.
Reports on DownDetector spiked shortly after 7.30am this morning and are continuing, with over a thousands reports so far.

The status page warns that popular large language model ChatGPT is ‘not displaying resources’, saying: ‘We are investigating the issue for the listed services.’
Frustrated users said they could not see responses to questions, and just saw a blank space.
Others said that it appeared to be working on the website, but not the app.

OpenAI rolled out GPT-5 last month, describing it as ‘our smartest, fastest, and most useful model yet, with thinking built in’, including access to reasoning where you can see an explanation of how it reached an answer.
