A father from Scotland has fallen into a coma after suffering a heart attack while on holiday in Turkey.
Peter McMahon, 52, from Glasgow, went into cardiac arrest on Wednesday morning during his week-long break at a resort in Antalya, where his heart stopped beating for 70 minutes.
His daughter, Teigan McMahon, who has flown to the Turkish capital to be by her dad’s side, said paramedics performed CPR on ‘for over an hour’.
She has since launched a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his treatment after travelling without insurance to cover his health complications.

Teigan described her ‘cheeky’ and ‘bubbly’ dad as her ‘lifelong best friend’, and said she launched the fundraiser to ‘give my dad the best possible chance’ as he remains in intensive care.
The 20-year-old told the Daily Record: ‘I got a call on Wednesday to say my dad was in ICU after he had a heart attack.
‘He had a mini heart attack a few months ago.
‘This was totally different. They had to perform CPR on him for over an hour. His heart stopped beating for 70 minutes.’
She added that her dad’s kidneys have since been damaged and he is now receiving dialysis.
She said: He’s still in a coma, but he’s able to breathe on his own. We are praying he wakes up. We are hoping for a miracle.’

Teigan set up a fundraiser on Saturday and, within a few hours, raised £2,772 of their £12,000 target to fund her dad’s hospital bills and travel costs to bring him back home.
She said on the fundraising page: ‘I can’t stress enough how important every penny counts.
‘This bill is just increasing day by day and unfortunately, far beyond anything me or my family can manage alone.
‘I am not the type of person to ask anyone for a penny but I will quite literally beg to save my dad’s life.’
She added that ‘no bill should ever stand between’ her dad and his potentially life-saving treatment.
