A Chicago man is facing charges after he allegedly robbed a mail carrier last year in Woodlawn, according to federal authorities.
Joshua Walder, 24, faces a count of robbery and burglary as well as four counts of theft of government property, according to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
On Nov. 14, 2024, Walder allegedly approached a mail carrier in the 6200 block of South Evans Avenue and demanded mail while threatening to take it by force, federal authorities said. He then allegedly entered the carrier’s mail truck and stole more mail.
