Chicago will host 2026 WNBA All-Star Game

The WNBA All-Star Game is returning to Chicago. The game will take place on Saturday July 25 at the United Center — that is, if the 2026 season proceeds as planned.

The players association and the league are negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement and have not yet agreed on terms. The agreement needs to be finalized before key offseason events, such as the draft lottery and expansion draft, can take place.

Nonetheless, the league feels confident in announcing the 2026 All-Star Game.

“The WNBA is thrilled to bring AT&T WNBA All-Star back to Chicago, which will undoubtedly deliver unforgettable competition and community outreach,” commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a statement. “Together with the Chicago Sky, we look forward to celebrating the game’s brightest stars, engaging WNBA fans around the world, and showcasing the energy of one of basketball’s most exciting cities.”

Chicago last hosted the All-Star Game in 2022 at Wintrust Arena.

The 2026 event will also include the 3-Point Contest and Skills Challenge on July 24 at Wintrust Arena, as well as community impact events at the Sky’s new practice facility. The facility is currently under construction in Bedford Park.
