The wreck happened about 4:05 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80 just east of the Willow Avenue exit. Initial reports confirmed by the CHP indicated a second vehicle may have collided with the Chrysler 300 that was on its roof.

Authorities did not identify the driver immediately, pending notification of relatives.

The crash closed all lanes of the freeway for about 25 minutes and brought a Sig Alert for severe traffic. All the lanes were open by 5:30 a.m., and the Sig Alert cancelled.
