Country star Chris Young will headline the debut OC Smoke Show, taking place Saturday, Aug. 16, at The Riding Park in San Juan Capistrano.
The single-day festival, produced by Activated Events, combines live music with a barbecue festival, featuring local BBQ vendors, over 101 curated whiskies, craft beer, line dancing, and interactive art installations.
In addition to Young, the lineup includes Chris Janson, The Band Perry, Dylan Schneider, Kelsey Hart, and Matt Koerner. The festival builds on the success of The Smoke Show’s debut in Gilbert, Arizona, and its recent expansion to Albuquerque, now making its first stop in Orange County.
Young first rose to fame after winning Season 4 of Nashville Star, a country music competition series that aired from 2003 to 2008 and helped launch new talent in a format similar to American Idol. Following his win in 2006, he signed with RCA Nashville and released his debut album the same year. Since then, Young has released nine studio albums, most recently “Young Love & Saturday Nights” in March 2024. Over the years, he has earned 11 No. 1 singles, joined the Grand Ole Opry, received multiple ACM, CMT, and CMA nominations, and surpassed five billion on-demand streams across platforms.
Presale tickets for the OC Smoke Show are now available at ocsmokeshow.com.
