Civil servant ‘exposed herself to online fans while giving pension advice over phone’

The woman is said to have referenced the cuts to winter fuel payments

A civil servant working at the Department for Work and Pensions reportedly flashed her chest to fans on an online live stream while giving pensions advice to callers.

The woman identified herself only as ‘Katie’ and replied to suggestive messages from her fans while wearing her headset and working from home, according to the Sun.

She is said to have referenced her low pay and her belief that she will become one of the ‘people on pensions who can’t switch the electric on’ when she retires, after being asked if she feels bad about stripping.

The newspaper said her profile on porn site XHamster describes her as English and 40 years old, with her shows featuring ‘dirty talk, flashing, role play, topless and striptease’.

A spokesman for the DWP told the Sun officials were looking into the streamer.

He said: ‘We’re aware of this video and investigating whether the person featured is a member of staff.’

Civil servants working for the UK government are expected to spend at least 60% of their working week either in the office or on official business.

That mandate was introduced by the Conservatives, but it continued under Labour who argued there are ‘clear benefits to spending time working together face-to-face’.

However, workers in some departments have gone on strike over the requirement, with the PCS union calling on management to ‘find a solution that’s fair and acceptable’.

Tory Cabinet Minister Jacob Rees-Mogg, who lost his seat at the last election, was committed to preventing any civil servant working from home – even leaving notes on empty desks he found in offices.

His focus on the issue was described as ‘pretty bizarre’ by current Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds.

‘Katie’ is far from the first person who has turned to the porn industry as a side gig to their main job to make ends meet.

In December last year, Colorado police officer Shannon Lofland resigned after her work in adult films was exposed.

She told CBS News Colorado she was ‘desperate’ and ‘drowning’, adding: ‘I found a legal, lucrative means for providing that support for my family that I needed at that time to save my home for them and feed my family.’
