A pair of Colorado football players have earned All-Big 12 honors.
On Thursday, the Big 12 announced its all-conference teams and end of season awards for the 2025 season, as voted on by coaches.

CU receiver Omarion Miller and left tackle Jordan Seaton both earned second-team All-Big 12 recognition. Three others – defensive backs Tawfiq Byard and Preston Hodge and punter Damon Greaves – received honorable mention.
In addition, defensive end London Merritt received honorable mention for defensive freshman of the year.
Miller, a junior, finished the season leading the Buffs in receptions (45), receiving yards (808) and receiving touchdowns (eight). It’s just the 11th time in CU history that a player posted at least 40 catches, 800 yards and eight touchdowns.
Miller was fifth in the Big 12 in receiving yards and tied for fifth in touchdown receptions.
Seaton was one of the best left tackles in the Big 12. The sophomore missed the last three games of the season with an injury, but had the best pass blocking grade among tackles in the Big 12, per Pro Football Focus.
Byard led the Buffs with 84 tackles and also had 7.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups and an interception. Hodge had 55 tackles and tied for the Big 12 lead in passes defended (14, with 13 breakups and one interception). Greaves was fourth in the Big 12 with a 43.73-yard average on punts.
Merritt recorded 24 tackles and was second on the team with eight tackles for loss. He also had a sack and five QB hurries.
Elsewhere in the Big 12, BYU running back LJ Martin was the offensive player of the year, while Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez was the defensive player of the year and Baylor punter Palmer Williams the special teams player of the year. BYU’s Kalani Sitake was voted as coach of the year.
Utah quarterback Devon Dampier was voted the offensive newcomer of the year, while Utes tackle Spencer Fano was voted the offensive lineman of the year,
Texas Tech’s David Bailey was the defensive lineman of the year, as well as the defensive newcomer of the year.
Freshmen of the year were: BYU quarterback Bear Bachmeier (offense) and Oklahoma State linebacker Wendell Gregory (defense). And, Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson was named the scholar-athlete of the Year.
Buffs add to 2026 class
After signing 10 players to the 2026 class on Wednesday, CU added another on Thursday.
Alex Ward, an athlete from IMG Academy in Florida, signed with the Buffs, joining his brother, Christian, who signed Wednesday.
The younger Ward was rated as a four-star recruit in the 2027 class, but recently elected to reclassify to 2026. He originally committed to Alabama in November of 2024, but decommitted in October and announced his pledge to the Buffs on Nov. 4.
At IMG this past year, Ward played receiver and defensive back in a reserve role. He had seven tackles on defense and caught one pass for five yards on offense.
Ward played at Walton (Georgia) High School in 2024, catching nine passes for 152 yards and two touchdowns, while adding 18 tackles, two TFLs and two interceptions on defense.
