Congressman Says FBI Director Wants Him Dead After “Specific Death Threats”

On Thursday reports emerged that Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), an unrelenting Trump critic, had been referred to the DOJ by the President’s mortgage fraud investigation instigator Bill Pulte, head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency.

Sometimes called “Little Trump” for his bold, partisan tactics and aggressive reach, Pulte reportedly implied that Swalwell had committed mortgage and tax fraud.

Swalwell denied the accusations, which have further inflamed anger at him from extremists, resulting in a continuation of what he says are “specific death threats” directed against him and his family.

In a post concerning what he portrays as a lack of concern over his and his family’s safety — and that of other Democrats who’ve received threats — Swalwell called out FBI Director Kash Patel, concluding that Patel “wants us dead.”

(Swalwell is responding to reports that Patel recently “arranged for FBI security detail for his girlfriend.”)

[NOTE: Swalwell marked the fourth Trump foe that Pulte has targeted with a similar charge, preceded by accused Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, and New York AG Letitia James. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) has opened an investigation into Pulte’s actions.]
