After House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced today that there will not be a vote on extending Affordable Care Act subsidies this week, U.S. Representative Sara Jacobs (D-CA) responded on social media, writing:
“We have time to vote on a bill this week that allows Lauren Boebert to hunt and kill gray wolves – but no time to vote on a bill to prevent millions of Americans from seeing their premiums spike by double or triple.”

This week the U.S. House of Representatives is expected to hold a floor vote on Rep. Boebert’s (R-CO) “Pet and Livestock Protection Act” (H.R. 845), which directs the Department of the Interior to remove protections for the gray wolf under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
Wilderness Watch, a nonprofit organization with a mission to “defend America’s 112 million-acre National Wilderness Preservation System,” calls Boebert’s bill “a direct threat to gray wolves across the lower 48 states.”

Note: House Republicans did have time to attend the White House Christmas Party last night. As seen below, Boebert shared a photo of her with the Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines, at the party, saying they are collectively working together to Make America Healthy Again.
Below are photos of Congresswoman Erin Houchin (R-IN) and Congressman Steve Scalise (R-LA) at the party.
