Cops hunt tattooed young woman after boy, 12, savagely attacked as he walked home from school in attempted robbery

POLICE are hunting a tattooed young woman after a schoolboy was savagely attacked in an attempted robbery.

The 12-year-old was walking home from school in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, when he was ambushed by two female suspects.

He refused to hand over his mobile phone and bag – causing the pair to punch and kick the teen as he lay defenceless on the ground.

Both suspects made off without stealing anything and thankfully the victim was not seriously harmed.

Cambridge Police have now released an image of a woman they wish to speak to following the May 2 attack.

She can be seen wearing a black dress with the middle cutout and black and white Converse.

The woman also has distinctive tattoos on her legs.

Cambridgeshire Police said: “Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Peterborough.

“The victim, a 12-year-old boy, was walking home from school along an alleyway next to Churchgate, off New Road, at about 3.25pm on Thursday, 2 May, when he was approached by two women.

“He was hit, punched, kicked and pushed to the floor after refusing to hand over his mobile phone and school bag.

“Nothing was stolen and the victim suffered minor injuries.”
