A 24-year-old man has died after suffering from a catastrophic allergic reaction while on holiday in Argentina.

Harry Kitto was travelling around South America with his girlfriend Naomi when he suddenly took ill in Buenos Aires.

Described by his family as ‘adventurous, funny and full of life’, Harry was just days from returning home after his holiday when tragedy struck.

Despite the efforts of doctors to save him, he was declared brain dead after seven days and passed away in front of his family in hospital.

A GoFundMe page set up to repatriate his body to Cornwall and pay for his funeral raised more than £50,000 within a day.

Harry’s older brother Bobby paid tribute to his sibling in an emotional message.

He wrote on Facebook: ‘I love you brother. You leave a void that can never be filled. Thank you for all the memories, good times, laughs and for always being there for me when I needed you the most.

‘Until we meet again.’

A touching tribute from Harry’s family read: ‘Harry fought so hard, and we have never been prouder of him. He was brave, strong, and full of love until the very end.

‘Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has already offered donations, shared messages, and stood with us during this nightmare. Your kindness has helped keep us standing and will now help bring Harry home.’

The family added it was ‘speechless’ at the generosity shown by donors.

‘This has been a heartbreaking time, but seeing how many people care about Harry and about us has given us strength we didn’t know we had’, it said.
