Bike skills workshops
Registration is open for Cupertino’s yearly Middle School Bike Skills workshop series. The workshops, designed for students who will be in middle school this fall, prepare them to ride to school and beyond with a course on the rules of the road, bike-handling skills drills and a neighborhood bike ride to tie all the lessons together. A guardian is expected to take the class and bike along with the student.
Workshops are June 23 and Aug. 11 and 18 at the Cupertino Senior Center, 21251 Stevens Creek Blvd., 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information and to register, visit cupertino.gov/msbs.
Summer music series
Cupertino Village shopping center is hosting a Summer Music Series on Saturdays, 1-3 p.m., on the lawn between Cupertino Optometry and 99 Ranch Market. On June 22, local band Mirage Trilogy will play jazz, disco and pop. On June 29, DeeJay Eric will spin K-pop tunes and contemporary favorites.
The series continues Saturdays through Aug. 31 at Cupertino Village, located at 10869 N. Wolfe Road. Performances are free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. For more information, visit https://cupertinovillage.shopkimco.com/events.
Night Out set
Cupertino residents can register their neighborhood for a National Night Out event on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 6-8 p.m. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes public safety/community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer.
Register by Monday, July 15, at Cupertino.gov/nno.
