One year after the Eaton Fire ravaged the Altadena and Pasadena foothill communities, the band Dawes will lead an all-star benefit concert dubbed A Concert for Altadena on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at the Pasadena Civic Center.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to the Altadena Builds Back Foundation, a part of the Pasadena Community Foundation, to support fire recovery and rebuilding efforts in the region.
The concert’s lineup features a broad range of artists, including Brad Paisley, Brandon Flowers of The Killers, Jackson Browne, Stephen Stills, Mandy Moore, Aloe Blacc, Jenny Lewis, Everclear and Ozomatli. Dawes brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith were directly affected by the fire; Taylor’s recording studio and band equipment were destroyed, and Griffin lost his home, which underscores the urgency of the benefit.
Gates for the performance open at 1:00 p.m.; Dawes and supporting artists will perform throughout the day and evening to raise critical funding. While tickets and pricing have yet to be fully detailed, organizers say ticketing information will be announced soon, and that all proceeds will be directed to the Altadena recovery fund. The Eaton Fire, which erupted in early 2025, burned tens of thousands of acres in the San Gabriel foothills, destroyed hundreds of homes and dramatically disrupted the local creative community. This concert aims not only to raise money but also to re-energize Altadena’s arts and music scene, which remains important to the region’s cultural identity.
A Concert for Altadena positions itself as a key event in Los Angeles County’s ongoing wildfire-recovery calendar, giving both musicians and residents a platform to come together, rebuild and celebrate resilience through performance.
Last January, the music community similarly rallied around Southern California fire relief with the FireAid Concert held between the Intuit Dome and Kia Forum. The star-studded benefit raised more than $100 million for those affected by the wildfires.
Dawes continued that momentum with a tribute at the 2025 Grammy Awards, joining Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Brittany Howard, and St. Vincent for a rendition of Randy Newman’s “I Love L.A.,” honoring the city’s resilience in the wake of the fires.
