Denise Richards has been granted a permanent restraining order against estranged husband Aaron Phypers, who she has accused of longstanding domestic violence during their seven-year marriage.
Until Nov. 7, 2030, the “frequency medicine” practitioner, age 53, must not contact the 54-year-old “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star in any way, shape or form, and must not possess firearms, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled Friday, per Us Weekly.
Phypers — who has dismissed Richards’ abuse accusations as “completely false and deeply hurtful,” claiming they’re a tactic to distract from her own alleged infidelity — must also stay at least 100 yards from the actress and her place of business.
Richards quickly secured a temporary restraining order upon leveling her claims against Phypers in the days after he filed for divorce in July. She alleged that throughout their marriage he “would frequently violently choke me [and] violently squeeze my head with both hands,” claiming he threatened to kill her and “almost” succeeded “so many damn times.” She also accused him of stealing her electronic devices and illegally leaking texts and nude photos.
The permanent order comes just weeks after TMZ reported that Phypers was released on $200,000 bond following an arrest outside a courthouse hearing with Richards.
