Denver’s hotel scene is making serious waves as the summer travel season approaches.
In April, Esquire named the Populus Hotel the best new hotel in the world. Now comes word that the Mile High City is also home to one of the most luxurious stays in the country.
Tripadvisor recently published its Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best for luxury hotels in the U.S. The Crawford Hotel in Denver cracked the list, claiming the last spot at No. 24.
Located on the uppermost floors at the historic Denver Union Station, The Crawford “is a cool mix of old-school charm and modern luxury,” writes Tripadvisor. “Unique design details and complimentary services make this a memorable stay.”
The Best of the Best award winners are selected based on both the quality and quantity of traveler reviews and ratings posted on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period. The Crawford currently boasts a 4.7 rating (out of 5) with 2,000 reviews on the travel website.
According to the site, people love that the hotel is pet-friendly and has a concierge. The fact that Union Station has restaurants is also a plus, according to Tripadvisor.
The Crawford Hotel got some upgrades as part of the recent $11 million renovation at Union Station. Updates include a new Parlour space, private elevator access and redesigned rooms with jewel-toned furniture, arched doorways and floral ceiling coverings. In 2024, the hotel was awarded one key by the Michelin Guide.
