Denver police closed roads near the state Capitol on Thursday night during a demonstration against President Donald Trump’s policies, including mass deportations and Medicaid cuts.
The “Good Trouble Lives On” protests are a national day of action honoring late congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis. Organizers say the protests are against “brazen” attacks on civil rights, voting rights and essential services by the Trump administration.
There are rolling road closures are around the Capitol and near 14th Avenue and Speer Boulevard, Denver police said.
