Denver Summit FC’s roster just doubled in size.
A week after trading for the Summit’s first player, the NWSL franchise acquired 24-year-old midfielder Lourdes Bosch from Australian side Melbourne City FC for an undisclosed transfer fee, the team announced on Thursday.
Bosch will join Colorado native Ally Watt, who was picked up via trade from the Orlando Pride last week, on the team’s inaugural roster. Bosch signed a contract that ties her to Denver through 2027, the team stated, but she will be loaned to C.F. Monterrey Femenil of Liga MX Femenil until the 2026 preseason.
“I’m incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a part of something historic in Denver,” Bosch said in a release announcing her acquisition. “After my first professional season in Australia, I’ve grown so much on and off the field, and I can’t wait to bring that energy, creativity, and passion to this next chapter.”
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nev., Bosch is a dual citizen of Mexico and the U.S. She played college soccer at UNLV and California Baptist, but went undrafted in the 2024 NWSL draft. She joined Melbourne City FC in A-League Women, the top level of women’s soccer in Australia, to begin her pro career and immediately thrived.
Bosch accumulated nine assists and four goals over 23 appearances in the 2024-25 campaign while helping lead Melbourne City to an undefeated regular season. Those performances earned her a call-up with the Mexican national team in May, and she made her international debut on May 30 in a 2-2 friendly draw against Uruguay.
“Lourdes is an exceptional young talent who brings both creativity and composure in the attacking third,” Denver Summit FC general manager Curt Johnson said in a news release. “She’s already shown the ability to perform on international stages and has the potential to be a cornerstone of our midfield for years to come.”
