She was last seen at around 7.30am this morning in the Bellesleyhill Avenue area of Ayr.

Loved ones contacted police after they became worried when they hadn’t heard from her after she went out for a wander.

They said this is usual for her and are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety.

Officers have been carrying out extensive enquiries and have begun checking CCTV footage from the area.

Despite Bellesleyhill Avenue being a busy spot in the Ayrshire town close to a train station and the promenade, Anne has not been seen in any of the footage.

Police have said that they have so far failed to locate her and have appealed to the public for help.

It is very unlike Anne to go off and not be in touch with her family. They are extremely concerned and just want her home safe and well.

The force has launched an urgent search to find Anne and is urging anyone with any information on her whereabouts to speak with officers.

She is around 5 ft 7/8 inches in height and has a slim to medium build.

She also has dark brown shoulder-length hair.

When she was last seen, Anne was wearing a dark-coloured bubble jacket and leggings.

Sergeant Terry McEwan said: “It is very unlike Anne to go off and not be in touch with her family.

“They are extremely concerned and just want her home safe and well.

“I am asking anyone who may have seen her to contact us.

“If anyone has any knowledge about Anne or her whereabouts, please get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1941 of 16 June 2024.”
