Disneyland will close seven attractions for seasonal refurbishments as the Anaheim theme park resort rolls into the Christmas holiday season that has become the most popular time of the year.
It’s a Small World, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, Sailing Ship Columbia, Pixie Hollow, Paint the Night and “Fantasmic” will temporarily close in November as part of the standard refurbishment schedule at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
The seven new attraction closures join Big Thunder Mountain, Storybook Land Canal Boats, Casey Jr. Circus Train, “Mickey’s PhilharMagic” and “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” that were already shuttered for refurbishment.

It’s a Small World boat ride in Fantasyland at Disneyland will go down for its annual transformation to holiday mode from Oct. 31 through Nov. 13.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in DCA’s Grizzly Peak themed land will be closed Nov. 1-13 to remove the Villains Grove holiday overlay after the Halloween season.
The Paint the Night parade will go on hiatus from Nov. 10 through Jan. 7 as Disneyland pauses some 70th anniversary entertainment during the Christmas holiday season.

Traffic on the Rivers of America at Disneyland will be disrupted with the Sailing Ship Columbia out of commission Nov. 2-6 and Nov. 10-13.
Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes in Disneyland’s Bayou Country will close twice in November for seasonal refurbishment Nov. 3-6 and Nov. 10-13.

The “Fantasmic” nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America will be dark Nov. 2-6, Nov. 10-13 and Nov. 17-20.
Pixie Hollow in Fantasyland will be closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays in November (Nov. 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27) after the Disneyland character meet-and-greet area was recently closed for a 10-month refurbishment.

“Mickey’s PhilharMagic” 3D concert film in DCA’s Hollywood Land will return on Friday, Oct. 31 after a nearly four-week refurbishment.

Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train will remain closed through at least Dec. 9 as the intertwined Fantasyland attractions undergo an extended refurbishment that began in July.

The “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show closed in April and is not expected to return until fall 2026 after the yearlong run of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration.

The new “Walt Disney — A Magical Life” that debuted in July will run by itself during its initial run and will then play in rotation with “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” in Disneyland’s Main Street Opera House.

Disneyland may occasionally run the “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” show whenever the Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic figure malfunctions (which happened last week), according to MickeyVisit.
