Robert Downey Jr., who will play the supervillain Doctor Doom in “Avengers: Doomsday” in 2026, will reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man for both new Avengers Campus attractions.

Disneyland has already submitted plans to the city of Anaheim for Avengers Campus expansion prep work that addresses utilities, temporary trailers and parking lots in the backstage areas that would be impacted by the expansion.

The Avengers Campus expansion will also displace the backstage location of the Red Car Trolley barn.

The Red Car Trolley will close on Feb. 8 in preparation for construction of the Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab attractions in DCA’s Avengers Campus.

The Red Car Trolley opened in 2012 as part of the reimagining of the DCA entry promenade with a thematic motif that paid homage to Walt Disney’s 1920s Los Angeles.

DCA plans to keep one Red Car Trolley parked on Buena Vista Street for photo ops after the February closure of the attraction.
