Teoscar Hernandez’s big weekend in the Big Apple earned him the National League Player of the Week award for last week.
Hernandez’s weekend opponent, Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees, won the award in the American League after going 10 for 20 with three home runs and 12 RBIs last week – including 7 for 11 with those three home runs, two doubles and five RBIs in the three-game series between the Dodgers and Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Hernandez warmed up in Pittsburgh before the Dodgers arrived in the Bronx. He was 9 for 25 in six games last week with four home runs and 10 RBIs (six in one game against the Yankees) and multi-hit games in each of the last four.
The 31-year-old outfielder emerged from the weekend, leading the Dodgers in home runs (17) and RBIs (48) this season, both third in the National League.
