The Summer Series Music + Market—an eight-week, Wednesday night concert series—kicked off July 9 with Cisco Kid. The series runs through Aug. 27, 6-8:30 p.m., on Evelyn and Washington avenues.
Groove Ride is next up on July 16. The Houserockers play July 23, followed by First Call on July 30.
The series continues on Aug. 6 with the Joint Chiefs. Tortilla Soup takes the stage on Aug. 13, followed by Daze On The Green on Aug. 20. The Megatones close out the concert series on Aug. 27.

Jazz and Beyond
Jazz and Beyond—an eight-week, Saturday night concert series—gets underway July 12 with the Mason Razavi Organ Trio. The series runs through Aug. 30, 6-8:30 p.m. on Murphy Avenue.
Next up is Andre Thierry on July 16, followed by Jessica Johnson on July 26. The Flow plays on Aug. 2, Stratify on Aug. 9, East Side Funk on Aug. 16 and Legally Blue on Aug. 23. The Kaye Bohler Band closes out the series on Aug. 30.

SCS backpack drive
Sunnyvale Community Services (SCS) is collecting new backpacks for the 2025-2026 school year through Aug. 1 at multiple downtown locations. Collection bins are placed at businesses including Leigh’s Bookstore, City National Bank, RoadRunner Sports and YogaSix.
Backpacks can also be donated at the back of the SCS facility at 1160 Kern Ave. on Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, 9 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m.
