A row erupted when the pair bumped into each other at a restaurant after Troake asked her rival: “Do you want to f**k my boyfriend?”

When Felicity flippantly replied “Yeah”, Troake smashed a gin glass in the estate agent’s face.

She was left needing stitches after her lip was cut during the savage attack and has been scarred for life.

Troake sobbed as she was spared jail after pleading guilty to unlawful wounding.

She was instead handed an 18 month sentence suspended for two years and ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation.

Felicity said following the sentencing: “For her to walk away with 100 hours of unpaid work does not affect her in any way.

“The fact is that she is getting away with it so easily. I am so disappointed that this is the justice I get.”

Chester Crown Court heard how the attack took place on September 24, 2022, after a day of drinking at the city’s races.

Felicity and her pals were out at a restaurant when they bumped into Troake and her group of friends.

After the comment about Troake’s boyfriend was made, she lashed out at Felicity.

Tom McLoughln, prosecuting, said: “The defendant hit Miss Calveley to the face with a gin glass saying ‘F**k you’.

“Miss Calveley realised that there was liquid on her face but mistook it to be liquid from the glass. She suddenly realised it was her own blood.

“The defendant tried to leave but was stopped by members of the public who had seen Miss Calveley’s bleeding to the face. When spoken to by police, the defendant was bleeding from the hand.

“She later provided a prepared statement. She denied the assault, giving an account that Miss Calveley had been making sarcastic remarks and had been verbally abusive. She said she acted in self-defence.”

In a victim impact statement, Felicity told how she was forced to take time off work after her confidence plummeted as a result of the attack.

She also said she still avoids public settings as she feels “vulnerable and intimidated”.

Felicity added: “The scar on my face is a constant reminder of the attack and often leads to questions from others, forcing me to repeatedly recount the traumatic event.

”For months after the incident even smiling was painful, severely affecting my ability to express happiness.

“I have suffered from extreme anxiety. especially in social settings. The sound of breaking glass triggers panic attacks, and I struggle to relax in crowded spaces.

”I have been diagnosed with mild PTSD and am receiving Cognitive Behavioural Therapy online to manage symptoms.

“l can only attend bars or restaurants with trusted friends limiting my social interactions and support network. The emotional toll of retelling the story of the attack hinders my ability to form new social connections.”

As well as a suspended sentence, Troake was slapped with a restraining order and told to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

Sentencing, Mr Recorder Eric Lamb said: “The effects of what you have done to Felicity Calveley have been long-lasting and substantial.

“For your part, you have been able to move on from the failed relationship. You moved elsewhere in the country and were able to follow your chosen career.

“By contrast Miss Calveley has made it clear that your actions have resulted in her being beset by anxiety and fear.

“You have left her with mild PTSD of a sort that she has to undertake cognitive behaviour therapy in an effort to overcome it.”
