East Bay pets of the week for Oct. 17

Hi, I’m Neptune! And my heart is as big as the galaxy! When I’m not curled up in your arms, I’m chasing toys or zooming through space (well, the living room) with endless curiosity. I’m playful, cuddly and full of starry-eyed wonder — ready to bring a little cosmic charm and a whole lot of purrs to my new loving family. A true out-of-this-world addition to any home! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Meet Jonathan, a tiny senior gentleman with a big heart and a gentle soul. Though he can be timid at first, this sweet pup quickly warms up with a little patience — and maybe a sprinkle of cheese. Once he feels safe, Jonathan enjoys quiet walks, sniffing around the yard and leaning in for soft scritches. He’s a bit wobbly on his paws and may not see perfectly, but that doesn’t stop him from exploring at his own pace. Volunteers describe him as curious, calm and easy to handle once he trusts you. Now in a loving foster home, Jonathan is looking for a peaceful retirement where he can nap in cozy beds and soak up loving affection from his perfect person. If you have a soft spot for seniors and a quiet space to share, reach out to customercare@eastbayspca.org. The East Bay SPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For updated and real-time information on programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions.
