England and Serbia fans clash ahead of Euro 2024 match with chairs and bottles thrown

Clashes between England and Serbia football fans have already begun ahead of the 8pm Euro 2024 game tonight.

Countdown if on for the Three Lions’ opener in the tournament in the western city of Gelsenkirchen.

There are concerns of violence escalating between supporters as an upwards of 500,000 England fans are expected to descend on Germany for throughout the next month.

A rampaging group of English hooligans are now understood to have attacked a bar where Serbia supporters were drinking.

They incident happened after 3.30pm local time outside Aleppo bar in the centre of Gelsenkirchen.

Eyewitnesses said ‘everything you can imagine’ was hurled at the tens of Serbia supporters.

Footage shared on X shows a crowd throwing multiple chairs and glasses at men sitting outside the bar.

It is understood that as many as 200 riot police were deployed to the scene to break up the clashes.

English fans are then seen fleeing the site at the sight of the lines of police officers armed with batons.
