Evacuations lifted in wildfire burning northwest of Fort Collins

Evacuations were lifted in a wildfire burning northwest of Fort Collins on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Poudre Fire Authority crews responded to a second-alarm wildfire at around 12:30 p.m. near Laporte, in the 4300 block of West County Road 54G, the agency said on social media.

Firefighters had build a containment line around the flames by 1:40 p.m.

The sheriff’s office initially ordered mandatory evacuations for the area and voluntary evacuations between Laporte and the Cache La Poudre River, from Rawhide Drive to the U.S. 287 bypass.

No one was injured and no structures were threatened by the fire, officials said.
