Fearless Ukrainian warrior dubbed ‘The Godfather’ who singlehandedly fought off ENTIRE Russian unit dies in battle

A HEROIC Ukrainian warrior who singlehandedly fought off an entire Russian squad has been killed in battle, according to his battalion.

The battle-hardened fighter was nicknamed “The Godfather” after video footage emerged of him repelling at least six of Putin’s foot soldiers.

The video, circulated on Telegram, shows the lone Ukrainian spraying a group of enemy fighters with endless rounds.

He performed the heroic feat wearing only a T-shirt.

He did not have time even to put on his helmet.

Just three days after a post from his battalion celebrating the soldier’s impressive feat, another post announced that he had been killed.

In the footage of the battle the Russians can be seen forming a defensive line as they try to eliminate the lone Ukrainian.

Heavy gunfire then erupts as plumes of smoke fill the air.

The Ukrainian uses the upper ground to blast away at the men who quickly scamper backwards as they look for a way out.

The clearly skilled soldier from the Ukrainian K-2 Battalion can be seen raising his gun above his head to fire at range.

He can be seen leaping out the way of the bullets as he singlehandedly fights off the Russians.

As the battle rages on the Ukrainian man – who had a call sign of Kum, which is Slavic shorthand for Godfather – jumps in a trench before continuing his brave assault.

After just 30 seconds, Putin’s troops are seen running backwards and pushed into a forest.

The video of the unbelievable victory was shared online by the K-2 Battalion as they celebrated the man’s bravery.

The martyr is named as Vadim, but his full name is not known.

In a Facebook post last week, K-2 Battalion said: “The bravery of our infantry knows no bounds.

“Reacting quickly, the soldier of the K-2 Battalion Vadim, rose to combat when there was not time even to wear a helmet.

“Unfortunately, the hero of this video later died.

“Honor and eternal glory of his bravery.”

It is not clear whether the soldier died from injuries sustained during the fighting captured on video or from later combat.
