Firefighters found a body after putting out a motor home fire in Valley Glen on Saturday afternoon, July 26.
They were unable to determine the age or gender of the person, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey, adding the body was badly charred.
Firefighters went to the 13400 block of Raymer Street, west of the 170 Freeway and north of Sherman Way, after getting a call of a vehicle fire at 1:16 p.m., Humphrey said.
They found a motor home, which was parked along the curb, on fire. He described the location as an industrial area.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to nearby buildings or other vehicles, Humphrey said, adding there were other motor homes parked in the area.
No one else was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The medical examiner’s office has not yet identified the body.
