Flood advisory and flood watch issued for areas near Santa Rosa

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for Sonoma County in the unincorporated area of Forestville late Saturday morning.

The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. Saturday.

There is also a flood watch in effect in the surrounding areas, including Santa Rosa, from tonight through Sunday morning.

Drivers in the area should be aware of the potential for pooled water or flooded roads.

The Weather Service advised drivers not to try to drive through flood water or barriers set up on closed roads.
