A father and son visiting from Florida were rescued from a snow-covered Engineer Pass near Ouray on Thursday, rescue officials said.
The duo, driving in a Jeep, got stuck in two feet of snow west of the summit at around 4 p.m. as weather conditions worsened.
Hinsdale County Search and Rescue crews were called in to assist and reached the stranded pair at 9:45 p.m., the agency said in a post on Facebook.
Engineer Pass is a four-wheel-drive only road roughly 13 miles southeast of Ouray.
