Another deadly aviation disaster has rocked the US after a plane crashed in Texas.

At least one person has died after the small jet hit the ground near to Propwash Airport in Texas.

It marks the third US plane crash in 24 hours and comes after a helicopter plunged into the Hudson River in New York, wiping out a Spanish family of five.

The small 2019 Saberwing Lightsport aircraft fell out of the sky at 7.15pm local time (1:15am UK time).

It is believed the pilot of the private jet, a 2019 experienced an issue with the small aircraft soon after take off from the airport.

Smoke billowed from the sky after the crash and a huge emergency response was present.

A City of Justin spokesperson announced: ‘Multiple investigations into this incident are currently underway.’

‘We are actively working to gather more information and ensure the safety of those in the surrounding area,’ added Justin Fire Chief Matthew Mitchell.

‘Our thoughts are with those involved and their families.’

The cause of the crash is yet to be established by authorities.

This is the third deadly plane in 24 hours in the US. Just hours earlier three people died after a small plane crashed into a highway in Florida.

The Cessna 310R experienced ‘mechanical issues’ before falling from the sky in Boca Raton.

Not long before that a private jet crashed on the way to Mexico from New York.

Footage circulating on social media shows the Gulfstream V long-range aircraft skidding off the runway at Cabo San Lucas International Airport.

Emergency crews then raced to the crash site as smoke rose from the wreckage.

Several families travelling with their children from Brooklyn were on board, but it is understood they all survived.

These incidents comes two days after a fatal helicopter crash in New York City.

A Spanish family of five, including three children, and the pilot were killed after the aircraft plunged into the Hudson River on Thursday.

Agustin Escobar, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal and their three children had arrived from Barcelona on Wednesday for a sightseeing trip in New York before the tragedy unfolded.

The family were pictured smiling together moments before boarding the helicopter as part of their child’s birthday celebrations.

Footage shows the Bell 206 helicopter upside down in the water near Holland Tunnel around 3.17 pm, while video also shows the helicopter ‘falling apart’ in midair, with the tail and propeller coming off.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA), a body representing 349 airlines from 120 countries, has stressed that although the fatality rate of incidents has increased recently, accidents remain ‘extremely rare’ overall.
