FREMONT – A person was injured in a drive-by shooting Monday night in Fremont, police said.
The incident was reported just before 10:15 p.m. near Central Avenue and Joseph Street, according to the Fremont Police Department. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The person was taken to an area hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
An initial investigation revealed the suspect drove up to the victim and fired multiple shots, police said. The suspect then drove away northbound from Thornton Avenue onto Interstate 880.
An investigation is underway into the incident. Police did not announce any arrests Tuesday.
