A CALF repeatedly rammed by a police car could soon be on the mend, her owner said.

And the farmer also said following the furore over the incident: “She’s got herself quite famous hasn’t she.”

Horror as Beau Lucy lays under the bumper after being thrown 30ft

The animal, called Beau Lucy, has shown no huge change since The Sun delivered a “get well soon” card to her.

But her owner insisted: “That means she hasn’t gone backwards, so that is a good sign.”

She is said to be eating and drinking and a vet has supplied antibiotics and painkillers for the rest of the week.

The owner, called Rob, has no idea how much the vet bill will be but claims Surrey Police said they will pay.

He said: “I think she will limp for a month.

“She hasn’t broken anything but has a huge great gouge in her leg.”

Asked on internal damage, Rob said: “We think not, her head is extremely sore.

“We touched her head today and it was obvious there was pain.”

Sickening footage showed Beau Lucy flung 30ft by a police 4×4 before she was trapped under the bumper in Feltham, West London, on Friday.

She had roamed five miles after escaping in Staines Moor, Surrey.

The force referred itself to the police watchdog.

The driver has been removed from frontline duties pending a probe.
