Friends of the Milpitas Library’s four-day sale set for Dec. 4-7

Friends of the Milpitas Library is holding a quarterly four-day sale Dec. 4-7, featuring a large number of books and media from all genres. The sale begins with a preview evening on Thursday exclusively for Friends members and ends with a bargain day on Sunday. Proceeds benefit library programs.

Books are priced at $1.50 per inch, music and software CDs are four for $1 and audio books, DVDs, VCDs and BluRay discs are $2 each. Software and games are $1 each or as marked, while box sets of DVDs, CDs or VCDs are individually priced based on the number of discs in the set.

At Sunday’s bargain day sale,  $5 will get you a paper grocery bag full of books and media.

The sale takes place at the Milpitas Library. Friends members can shop early on Thursday, Dec. 4, 5-8- p.m. The hours for the general public are Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Adult ed classes

Registration is open for winter/spring 2026 classes at Silicon Valley Adult Education (SVAE). Students can enroll in programs that build job skills, earn high school diplomas equivalencies or prepare for higher education, including academic and career technical education courses, California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) and the Silicon Valley Regional Testing Center.
