Many Brits have found the campaign rather dull, but these stunts and mishaps have given it some much-needed colour.

We’ve cobbled together a video of all the strangest moments – starring Sunak, Farage, Ed Davey, Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

Rishi in the rain

The PM’s speech announcing the general election was meant to get his campaign off to a strong start and steal a march on Labour.

But it will be remembered for one thing – the rain which soaked Rishi while a protester blared ‘Things Can Only Get Better’ on a speaker.

For reasons which remain unclear, Rishi chose to give the speech on the Downing Street tarmac instead of the press room inside No. 10.

Rishi’s suit was thoroughly sodden by the time he wrapped up the speech and headed through the swinging black door.

Farage milkshake attack

After Rishi’s announcement, Nigel Farage said he wouldn’t run for Parliament and would instead focus on helping his pal Donald Trump.

But he soon changed his mind and was named Reform UK’s candidate for the Essex seaside town of Clacton.

Not all locals gave Farage a warm welcome – with one woman lobbing a milkshake in his face.

Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, has been charged with assault by beating and criminal damage.

Ed Davey’s bungee jump

Before the election, Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey was best known for refusing to meet Post Office campaigner Alan Bates while a minister.

Davey has tried to change the public’s view of him with a string of goofy stunts including a bungee jump.

He was winched up 160ft in the air by a crane in Eastbourne – before jumping off and screaming: “Vote Liberal Democrat.”

Ex-postmistress Yvonne Tracey told The Sun: “He’s trying to take the limelight away from the Post Office.

“He looks absolutely ridiculous. So undignified, and this is a man who potentially would like to be our prime minister.”

Fuming Yvonne added: “Thank goodness he won’t.”

Theresa May’s doorbell message

Former PM Theresa May is standing down as MP for Maidenhead – but is still out and about campaigning for the Tories.

She was caught on a Ring doorbell camera canvassing in Perthshire, where Tory MP Luke Graham is battling to hold onto his seat.

Mrs May rang with no answer before leaving a message for the homeowner.

She said: “Hello, my name is Theresa May and I am here supporting Luke Graham, the Conservative candidate for the general election on July 4.

“As you’re not in I’ll pop a leaflet through your door.”

Jeremy Corbyn’s keepie-uppie fail

Jeremy Corbyn had a go at keepie-uppies

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is campaigning as an independent after Keir Starmer booted him out of the party.

The 75-year-old’s Islington North constituency includes Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium.

In a bid to get the Gooner vote, Corbyn posted a clip of a keepie-uppie contest with one of his supporters.

The young man completed 100 touches without touching the floor before passing it to Corbyn – who shonked it down the road.
