A schoolgirl travelling on a train was left with a broken wrist and chunks of her hair ripped out after she was suddenly attacked by a group of teenagers.
Footage shows 13-year-old Ruby begging her attackers to stop as she was punched and kicked in the head during the 15-minute ordeal.
She had boarded the Tyne and Wear’s Metro at Whitley Bay on Friday afternoon when she was set on by two teenage girls.
Her aunt, Tammie Barclay, has said the gang were wanting money off of her niece, and ‘held her captive’ until she gave them £10.
Tammie told the Mirror: ‘They still carried on beating her up. She’s got chunks of her hair missing out of her head as well.’
The aunt has since made a GoFundMe page to cover the cost of new clothes which were ‘ripped to shreds’ in the attack.

But donations have since flooded in, and reached £1,000 by the next morning.
More than £4,000 has since been raised, with Tammie writing: ‘Thank you everyone.
‘Please stop donations. Ruby has got more than enough to have a lovely day out.’
Northumbria Police said: ‘Shortly before 7.55pm on Friday, April 4, we received a report of a disturbance near to Wallsend Metro Station.
‘Officers attended where it was reported a teenage girl had been assaulted by two other females while on board the train. Those involved had already left the area before police arrival.
‘The victim – aged 13 – was left shaken by the incident and was taken to hospital to be checked over. She has since been discharged and is being supported by officers.’
