A 16-year-old girl is fighting for her life after being shot Thursday morning in a Washington Park neighborhood home on the South Side.
It wasn’t clear how she was shot or who shot her when it happened about 7:10 a.m. in the 5600 block of South Michigan Avenue, Chicago police said.
She was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition, according to police who said no arrests have been made and nobody else was hurt.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
