A BURNED still smoking headless and limbless torso has been discovered in a holiday hotspot in Spain.
Police have been left baffled by the horrifying discovery in the countryside around Alicante.

A runner in the countryside near the city – which welcomes 3 million tourists every year – made the grim find.
The torso was lying by the side of a road and was still smouldering, according to reports.
There was no sign of any legs, arms or head.
Police have not confirmed whether the victim is a man or a woman due to the condition of the remains.
But they believe, subject to a post-mortem, that it was probably male.
Cops fear the killing could be connected to a settling of scores over drugs.
Police are now looking for the rest of the body.
Found alongside the torso was a suitcase full of clothes – that had also been set on fire.
The horrified runner who spotted the body in the area of La Serreta, in the area of Fontnivel, immediately called the emergency services.
The human remains were still burning when the alarm was raised early on Monday morning.
Police from the Violent Crime Group and Aerial Media Unit have been searching the scene, using a drone to try and find the rest of the body.
A suitcase has also been found nearby but no trace of the limbs or head.
The human remains of the dismembered person have been transferred to the Alicante Institute of Legal Medicine.
An autopsy will be performed today.
Forensic experts will also try to find out if any stab, gunshot or trauma injuries could have caused the victim’s death.
Identification will only be possible through DNA given the state of the remains.
Detectives will also review reports of missing persons to find some clues.
