The raid, which was led by the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office Gun Violence Task Force, happened in the 2200 block of Bailey Avenue, prosecutors said.
Among other items, the task force seized completed explosives, heroin and four firearms, including an unserialized or “ghost gun” assault rifle, according to prosecutors.
Christopher Paul Roberts, a resident of the home, was arrested during the raid. He is expected to be arraigned Friday on charges related to the possession of a destructive device, possession of materials with intent to make a destructive device, possession and manufacturing of an assault weapon and possession of firearms by a prohibited person, according to Deputy District Attorney Michael Vidmar.
If convicted, Roberts faces “significant prison time,” Vidmar said.
Roberts remained in custody Thursday.
The task force was formed to remove guns from people who pose a threat to the community.
“This investigation demonstrated the task force’s ability to do just that,” Vidmar said.
