Chicago could see more snow Thursday night and into the weekend ahead of the Bears game, though not much is expected to accumulated, according to the National Weather Service.
An initial wave of flurries will start Thursday night with another round Friday morning. The city will likely see close to an inch of snow, though some areas could see up to two inches.
The Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation said it was deploying its fleet of 220 salt spreaders ahead of the weather and urged drivers to leave more space between cars and to allot more time for traveling.
“It’s sort of a run of the mill weather system,” said NWS Meteorologist Lee Carlaw. “There will be repeated intermittent chances for gusty snow showers through the weekend.”

Saturday will see two more waves of flurries with similar accumulation, and Sunday could see snow in the evening, though it’s more likely Monday, Carlaw said. However, the most notable part of this weekend’s weather will be temperatures dropping due to strong cold fronts.
Sunday will see a high of 21, and temperatures will likely remain in the high teens around gametime — kick off is expected at 5:30 p.m. — before dropping to a low of five degrees later in the evening.

It could spell trouble for the Los Angeles Rams, and temperatures could be a boon for fans looking to score more affordable seats, though the cheapest ticket at Soldier Field will set attendees back more than $500.
“At this point, it looks like there’s potential for snow showers in the area maybe just after the end of the game there,” Carlaw said. “But temperatures will turn sharply colder over the weekend.”
