HAYWARD — A local resident was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting the employee at a massage parlor who refused to provide sexual services, court records show.
Alexis Miller, 47, was charged with assault, attempted rape, and attempted sodomy in connection with the May 20 incident. The investigation was prompted by the alleged victim, who told police that Miller assaulted her after she repeatedly declined his offer to pay for sex.
Miller allegedly pulled the woman’s pants down in the lobby of a massage parlor on the 900 block of C Street, then humped her repeatedly. After the assault he pled the store, authorities said. He was arrested the following day after an officer spotted him on the 700 block of A Street.
Police say they obtained surveillance footage that corroborates the allegations. Miller has pleaded not guilty and is next due in court on July 7, with a preliminary hearing set for July 11.
Bail has been set at $100,000 and Miller remains behind bars at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, records show.
