Heartbreaking tribute paid to ‘loving’ mum killed alongside two children

Juliana Prosper was found dead alongside her son Kyle and daughter Giselle

A woman and two children killed in Luton have been described by their family as a ‘strong, loving mother’ and her ‘beautiful’ son and daughter.

Nicolas Prosper, 18, has been charged with the murder of his mother Juliana, 48, and siblings Kyle, 16, and Giselle, 13.

They were found when police visited a flat in Leabank, off Wauluds Bank Drive, on Friday morning.

A statement released by their family today said: ‘Julie was a strong, loving mother to her four beautiful children, who were her absolute world.

‘In her spare time, she was a keen athlete and enjoyed raising money for charity – she was always putting others first.

‘Kyle was a kind and funny young man who loved football and boxing. He was creative and thriving on TikTok, a big talent with massive potential. Kyle’s friends were his everything.

‘Giselle was a beautiful soul and caring young girl; she liked to laugh lots and loved her family and big brothers.

‘She was so loveable with an infectious smile. She was also an exceptional pupil at school and was loved dearly by her friends in Year 9.’

Juliana’s son Nicholas has appeared in court charged with the murder of her and two of her children

They added: ‘We are so grateful for all the support we’ve received from our family, friends, and the community, and we appreciate all your kind messages.

‘We’d also like to thank the police for their efforts and handling of the investigation.

‘As we navigate this difficult time, we kindly ask for our privacy to be respected to allow us to grieve.’

Nicholas Prosper appeared in court on Monday charged with murder and other offences to it.

This includes purchasing or acquiring a 12-ball Nikko shotgun in Luton without holding a certificate on September 12 and possession of a shotgun on September 13.

Mr Prosper was also charged with possession of a bladed article, a kitchen knife, in a public place in Bramingham Road, Luton on September 13.

Family members packed out the public gallery, many of whom were tearful and shook their heads during Prosper’s short appearance in the dock.

Prosper has been remanded into custody and was ordered to appear at Luton Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on September 18.
