USC football, according to several outlets, has the top-ranked 2026 recruiting class in the country with 34 commits from across the country. Two of them are five-star recruits and another 27 are four-stars.
Here’s a look at how all 34 commits are playing:
Five-star players
Keenyi Pepe, OL, IMG Academy: The 6-foot-7, 327-pound lineman has helped the prep school in Bradenton, Florida, to an 8-0 start, and the offense is averaging nearly 47 points per game. The Ascenders are also putting up 172.5 passing yards and 219.5 rushing yards per game.
Mark Bowman, TE, Mater Dei: The Monarchs have losses this season to Centennial and Santa Margarita, but that hasn’t stopped Bowman from performing. The 6-foot-5 tight end has hauled in 21 passes for 279 yards and two touchdowns in seven games. He’s also rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Bowman and the Monarchs play St. John Bosco on Friday in one of the biggest high school football rivalries in the country.
Four-star players
Talanoa Ili, LB, Kahuku: The former Orange Lutheran High star who moved to Hawaii chose the Trojans over UCLA on June 15. He’s part of a Kahuku defense that is allowing 16.7 points per game and nearly beat Mater Dei, falling to the Monarchs 21-18 on Sept. 5.
Simote Katoanga, DL, Santa Margarita: Katoanga has been productive in the trenches with 24 tackles, eight tackles for loss and two sacks in addition to seven QB hurries in nine games.
Jaimeon Winfield, DL, Richardson: This explosive lineman from Texas has nine tackles for loss and four sacks in seven games in addition to 17 total tackles — 14 of the solo variety. Winfield is the eighth-ranked defensive lineman in the country.
Tomuhini Topui, DL, Mater Dei: Topui and the Monarchs’ defense gave up only a touchdown in its most recent game against JSerra Catholic. He has 18 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups and a fumble recovery in six games.
Deshonne Redeaux, RB, Oaks Christian: Redeaux, who threw a huge party when he committed to USC, was selected as a 2026 Polynesian Bowl All-Star on Monday. He rushed for 207 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in a 42-6 win over Camarillo on Friday and has collected a total of 892 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground this season.
Ethan Feaster, WR, DeSoto: Feaster reclassified in February and committed to USC in July. Although the Texan can play both ways, he’s shining at receiver this season. He has already caught 42 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Elbert Hill IV, CB, Archbishop Hoban: The cornerback from Akron, Ohio, scored twice in a 46-21 win over Central York on Oct. 17. He returned a kick 96 yards for a touchdown and then hauled in an interception and returned it 98 yards.
Trent Mosley, WR, Santa Margarita: Mosley, a dual-sport athlete in football and lacrosse, has yet to score a touchdown but has 26 catches for 215 yards. His best game was Oct. 24 against Orange Lutheran when he grabbed 10 catches for 100 yards.
Luke Wafle, EDGE, Hun School: The top player in New Jersey has played both ways this season and had his best game of the season Oct. 24 when he logged six tackles for loss, 12 tackles and five sacks against The First Academy.
Brandon Lockhart, CB, Sierra Canyon: Lockhart transferred to Sierra Canyon for his senior year and has a team-leading 12 pass breakups in addition to 29 tackles.
Shahn Alston, RB, Harvey: Alston rushed for eight touchdowns and nearly 300 yards in Harvey’s season opener against Berkshire. He’s the No. 6 running back in Ohio after rushing for 1,548 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Braeden Jones, EDGE, Chicago Mt. Carmel: Jones and his team are on their way to winning another state championship. He’s currently the fourth-ranked player in Illinois after committing to USC a year ago.
Jonas Williams, QB, Lincoln-Way East: Williams broke the Illinois high school record for career passing touchdowns when he threw his 128th scoring strike six games into his senior season. He is currently dealing with an ankle injury, according to reports, and his status for the playoffs is unclear.
Esun Tafa, OL, Corner Canyon: Tafa’s blocking is helping Corner Canyon’s offense excel going into the playoffs in Utah. The team went 8-1 in the regular season and averaged 310.2 passing yards and 202 rushing yards per game.
Vlad Dyakonov, OL, Folsom: Dyakonov, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound lineman who grew up in Belarus, is helping Folsom’s pass-heavy offense gain 343.4 yards through the air.
Shaun Scott, LB, Mater Dei: Scott has racked up 35 total tackles – 20 solo – and nine tackles for loss in eight games. He’s also gotten three sacks and three pass breakups in addition to forcing two fumbles.
Luc Weaver, WR, Notre Dame Sherman Oaks: Weaver has 13 catches for 210 yards and four touchdowns in his last three games.
Three-star players
Breck Kolojay, OL, IMG Academy: Kolojay, who is 6-foot-5 and 320 pounds, is in his second year as a starter at IMG and is clearing the way for the Ascenders to gain 172.5 passing yards and 219.5 rushing yards a game.
Peyton Dyer, CB, Tyner Academy: The cornerback from Tennessee decommitted from South Carolina in order to commit to USC. He used his explosive speed to return a punt 69 yards for a touchdown in a 46-47 win over Chattanooga Prep in early October.
Roderick Tezeno, WR, Opelousas Catholic School: Complete stats aren’t available for Tezeno, but the Vikings have scored 43 points or more in four out of their five wins this season in Louisiana.
Joshua Holland, CB, St. John Bosco: Holland is athletic enough to play on either side of the ball, but he’s mostly seen time on defense this season. He’s had 16 tackles, two interceptions and four pass breakups in nine games.
Madden Riordan, CB, Sierra Canyon: Riordan was one of USC’s earliest commits, making his decision in 2023. He’s sixth on the team with 32 total tackles and also has seven pass breakups and two interceptions.
Ja’Myron Baker, WR, Sierra Canyon: Baker is one of Sierra Canyon’s most targeted receivers this season with 32 catches for 500 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. He’s also completed two passes.
Kannon Smith, OL, Valor Christian: Smith is the 10th-ranked lineman in Colorado and has Valor Christian sitting at a 7-2 record. The Eagles are putting up 222.2 passing yards and 171.7 rushing yards a game.
Jayden Crowder, CB, Santa Margarita Catholic: Crowder has been playing on both sides of the ball this season while also contributing on special teams. On defense, he’s up to 27 tackles with five pass breakups and two interceptions for 39 yards. On offense, he’s had three catches for 27 yards and a touchdown. Crowder also has 51 yards on kick returns.
Jake Johnson, DL, Prosper: The Texan switched sides in the trenches his sophomore season after playing on the offensive line. Prosper has allowed two touchdowns or less in three games this season.
Andrew Williams, EDGE, Fremont: The local recruit has been contributing on both sides of the ball this season. He’s collected 301 rushing yards and 158 receiving yards in addition to 59 tackles, 11 tackles for loss and nine sacks.
Chase Deniz, OL, Cathedral: With another local recruit in the trenches, Cathedral’s balanced offense is averaging roughly 200 yards through the air and on the ground.
Taylor Johnson, LB, Cajon: Johnson is averaging 18.9 tackles per game for a total of 170 tackles in nine games. He’s also recorded 13.5 tackles for loss, five sacks and two interceptions.
Jakwon Morris, CB, Northwest Mississippi Community College: Morris has 26 tackles (17 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Northwest is current 7-1 and on a five-game win streak.
Malik Brooks, DL, St. Pius-St. Matthias Academy: Brooks shined in an Oct. 3 game against St. Francis, collecting seven total tackles, four tackles for loss and four QB hurries.
John Fifita, OL, St. Francis: Complete stats are not available for the 6-foot-6, 350-pounder from Mountain View in Northern California. He and the St. Francis defense gave up one touchdown in their Oct. 24 game against St. Ignatius College Preparatory.
