Cities across the Inland Empire are celebrating the arrival of spring and Easter with festivals, egg hunts and more.
Here’s a roundup of events in Riverside, San Bernardino and eastern Los Angeles counties.
Riverside County
Hemet: Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District presents the 36th annual Bunny Hop Family Fun Run for all ages beginning at 9 a.m. April 12 at Diamond Valley Lake Community Park, 1801 Angler Ave. Registration is required and costs $15 the day of the event. Children under age 12 can grab their Easter basket and join an egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. April 19 at Diamond Valley Lake park. The event will feature games and visits with the Easter Bunny. Lake Elsinore: The Bunny Trunk Hop will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 on Historic Main Street. Families stroll along the street, lined with cars decorated for spring, while children collect Easter eggs and treats. Photos with the Easter Bunny, crafts and more will be offered. Murrieta: The Spring Eggstravaganza begins at 9:30 a.m. April 19 at Town Square Park, 11 Town Square. Children under age 10 will be divided into age groups for the egg hunts. Perris: The Breakfast with Bunny & Community Egg Hunt will begin at 9 a.m. April 12 at City Hall Lawn, 101 N. Temecula: The city hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt for children under age 12 at 10 a.m. April 19 at three locations — Harveston Community Park, 28582 Harveston Drive; Patricia H. Birdsall Sports Park, 32380 Deer Hollow Way; and Temeku Hills Park, 31367 La Serena Way. Guests are asked to bring their own baskets for collecting eggs and urged to arrive between 9 and 9:30 a.m. for the free event. San Bernardino County
Chino: The Easter Bunny Extravaganza is 10 a.m. to noon April 12 at the Chino Youth Museum. Cost is $20 per child and registration is required. Activities include a scavenger hunt, Easter craft, photos with the Easter Bunny and more. Teen Glow Night, a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, will be 7 to 9:30 p.m. April 11 at Ruben S. Chino Hills: Easter Egg-Citement, with egg hunts for children, pictures with the Easter Bunny and more, will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 at Chino Hills Community Park, 3280 Eucalyptus Ave. No outside bags or baskets will be allowed; the city will provide bags for the egg hunt. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The Adult Easter Egg Scramble begins at 8 p.m. April 11 at Chino Hills Community Park. Cost is $20 and registration is required. Colton: The city’s annual Spring Celebration will feature egg hunts for children 13 and younger and celebrate Earth Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 19 at Veterans Park, 290 E. Ontario: Children ages 3 to 12 are invited to join The Grand Ontario Egg Hunts, from 10 a.m. to noon on both April 12 at Celebration Park North, 4980 S. Yucaipa: Egg hunts for children, teens and adults are set for April 12. The free annual Eggstravaganza for families with children under age 12 begins at 10 a.m., the free Teen Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt begins at 7 p.m. and the Adult Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt begins at 8 p.m. Cost for the adult event is $15 and registration is now open. Claremont: A Spring Celebration will be held 9 to 11 a.m. April 19 at Memorial park, 840 N.
