Human remains have been found in Rocky Mountain National Park near Alpine Ridge Trail, according to a release from the park.
Late Wednesday afternoon, the remains were found near the Alpine Visitor Center, which is located along Trail Ridge Road, according to the release. Park Law Enforcement Rangers responded and are investigating.
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office will confirm the person’s identity and release additional information when the next-of-kin has been found and notified, the release said.
